नाभिचक्रे कायव्यूहज्ञानम्

nābhicakre kāyavyūhajñānam

From saṃyama on the navel chakra arises knowledge of the organization of the body.

Nābhi is navel. Cakra is wheel, center. Kāya is body. Vyūha is organization, arrangement.

The navel chakra (maṇipūra) is the center of the physical body. It was the point of connection with the mother, the center of nourishment.

Through saṃyama on this center, the yogī knows the complete structure of the body: the organs, the systems, the energies that animate them.

It is direct anatomical knowledge, not learned from books but perceived from within.

This siddhi has applications in healing. Knowing the organization of the body, imbalances can be detected and corrected.

Maṇipūra is also the center of digestive fire (agni) and personal will. Saṃyama here strengthens both.

Traditional Ayurvedic physicians developed this perception for diagnosis. They sensed the patient’s body from within, not just palpating from outside.
