Vibhūti Pāda · Sutra 32

मूर्धज्योतिषि सिद्धदर्शनम्

mūrdhajyotiṣi siddhadarśanam

From saṃyama on the light of the crown arises vision of the perfected beings.

Mūrdha is crown, top of the head. Jyotis is light. Siddha are the perfected beings, the realized masters. Darśana is vision.

At the crown (sahasrāra) there is a point of light. By meditating upon it, the yogī can perceive the siddhas, beings who have attained perfection.

The siddhas may be masters who have already left the physical body but remain accessible on subtle planes. Or they may be beings who never incarnated.

This vision is not imagination. It is direct perception of presences that exist beyond the ordinary sensory range.

The siddhas may appear as lights, forms, or simply as presence. They can transmit teachings, blessings, initiations.

Many yogīs report that in deep meditation they receive guidance from inner masters. This sutra describes the mechanism.

Sahasrāra is the gateway upward, toward the higher planes of consciousness.
