The four negative attributes from the previous verse transform into positives: acchedyaḥ (uncuttable), adāhyaḥ (unburnable), akledyaḥ (unwettable), aśoṣyaḥ (undryable). The prefix a- denotes absolute impossibility.

Then five positive attributes: nityaḥ (eternal), sarvagataḥ (gone to all places, omnipresent), sthāṇuḥ (post, pillar, stable), acalaḥ (without movement), sanātanaḥ (perpetual, from always).

Sarvagataḥ is crucial: the ātman is not confined to an individual body. It is omnipresent like space, but conscious.
