Possessed by desires, with heaven as their goal, promising the fruit of birth and karma, abundant in specific activities, destined for enjoyment and power

The ritualist is kāma-ātmā (of ātman = desire) — identified with longing, not with essential being. Their goal: svarga (heaven, realm of Indra), not kaivalya (absolute).

Janma-karma-phala-pradām — rituals produce fruits in the form of favorable births and action results. They are kriyā-viśeṣa-bahulāḥ (abundant in particular activities) — ritual complexity without spiritual depth.

The destiny: bhoga-aiśvarya-gatim — path of sensual pleasures (bhoga) and dominion (aiśvarya). Temporarily attractive but not liberation.
