Chandranadi

Lunar nāḍī, synonymous with [[ida-nadi]]. Candra-nāḍī is the subtle left channel that courses through the body parallel to [[susumna|sushumna]]. In the Haṭha-pradīpikā and the Śiva-saṃhitā, it is described as the conduit of cooling, lunar energy (candra = moon), associated with the feminine principle (śakti) and the right cerebral hemisphere. The breath flowing through the left nostril is termed candra-svarā and favors receptive, nurturing, and contemplative activities.
