Lord of the fishes. Matsyendranāth, legendary founder of the Nāth tradition and direct disciple of Ādinātha (Śiva). According to legend, he received the teaching of yoga while listening to Śiva from the bottom of the sea. The Haṭha Pradīpikā mentions him as one of the mahāsiddhas.
