सङ्कल्प
Saṅkalpa
conceptoResolution, deliberate intention. Saṅkalpa is the determined will that precedes and directs action. In the Yoga Sūtras, saṅkalpa is linked to the clarity of purpose (prayatna) necessary for sustained practice. The Bhagavad Gītā emphasizes that the firmness of saṅkalpa distinguishes the yogin from the irresolute. In yoga nidrā, the saṅkalpa is sown at the border between waking and sleep as a seed of profound transformation. See dharana.
