षडङ्ग

Ṣaḍaṅga

práctica

“Six-limbed”. Refers to the six branches or components of yoga in the Nātha tradition: [[āsana]], [[prāṇāyāma]], [[pratyāhāra]], [[dhāraṇā]], [[dhyāna]], and [[samādhi]].

Unlike Patañjali’s Aṣṭāṅga Yoga (eight limbs), traditional Haṭha Yoga omits yama and niyama, focusing directly on bodily and meditative practices.
