Chapter 18 · Verse 13
कृत्यं किमपि नैवास्ति न कापि हृदि रञ्जना
kṛtyaṃ kimapi naivāsti na kāpi hṛdi rañjanā | yathā jīvanameveha jīvanmuktasya y
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 13 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
