Chapter 18 · Verse 17
दृष्टो येनात्मविक्षेपो निरोधं कुरुते त्वसौ
dṛṣṭo yenātmavikṣepo nirodhaṃ kurute tvasau | udārastu na vikṣiptaḥ sādhyābhāvāt
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 17 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
