Chapter 18 · Verse 61

निवृत्तिरपि मूढस्य प्रवृत्ति रुपजायते

nivṛttirapi mūḍhasya pravṛtti rupajāyate | pravṛttirapi dhīrasya nivṛttiphalabhā

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 61 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
