Chapter 18 · Verse 69

महदादि जगद्द्वैतं नाममात्रविजृम्भितम्

mahadādi jagaddvaitaṃ nāmamātravijṛmbhitam | vihāya śuddhabodhasya kiṃ kṛtyamava

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 69 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
