Karma-Sannyāsa Yoga · Verse 9

प्रलपन्विसृजन्गृह्णन्नुन्मिषन्निमिषन्नपि | इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थेषु वर्तन्त इति धारयन्

pralapan visṛjan gṛhṇann unmiṣann imiṣann api | indriyāṇīndriyārtheṣu vartanta iti dhārayan

Speaking, releasing, taking, opening and closing the eyes, one should understand that the senses move among the objects of the senses.

Continuation of the disidentified vision. Pralapan — speaking — visṛjan — releasing — gṛhṇan — taking — unmiṣan — opening (eyes) — nimiṣan — closing — are continuous activities.

Dhārayan — holding, maintaining — the understanding that indriyāṇi — senses — vartante — move — indriyārtheṣu — among objects of sense. There is no agent; there is process. The yogī observes without identifying.
