Kṣetra

Field, body. In chapter 13 of the Bhagavad-gītā, the body is kṣetra (field) and the inner knower is kṣetrajña (knower of the field). This distinction underpins the sāṃkhya philosophy of yoga: the field comprises the elements, feelings and guṇas; the knower is puruṣa who observes without identifying. See purusha, prakriti.
