नाथ
Nāth
concepto“Lord,” “master.” Yogic tradition initiated by Matsyendranāth and systematized by Gorakṣanāth, also called Nāth Sampradāya. The nāths are the masters of the siddha tradition who transmitted haṭha yoga teachings from the 10th–11th centuries.
The nāth order integrates yoga, alchemy, and tantra. Its practitioners (nāth yogis) recognize 84 siddhas in their lineage. The Haṭha Pradīpikā, Gheranda Saṃhitā, and Śiva Saṃhitā are key texts of this tradition.
