Chapter 18 · Verse 19
भावाभावविहीनो यस्तृप्तो निर्वासनो बुधः
bhāvābhāvavihīno yastṛpto nirvāsano budhaḥ | naiva kiñcitkṛtaṃ tena lokadṛṣṭyā v
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 19 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
