Chapter 18 · Verse 33

एकाग्रता निरोधो वा मूढैरभ्यस्यते भृशम्

ekāgratā nirodho vā mūḍhairabhyasyate bhṛśam | dhīrāḥ kṛtyaṃ na paśyanti suptava

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 33 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
