Chapter 18 · Verse 43

शुद्धमद्वयमात्मानं भावयन्ति कुबुद्धयः

śuddhamadvayamātmānaṃ bhāvayanti kubuddhayaḥ | na tu jānanti saṃmohādyāvajjīvama

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 43 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
