Chapter 18 · Verse 97

विक्षेपेऽपि न विक्षिप्तः समाधौ न समाधिमान्

vikṣepe'pi na vikṣiptaḥ samādhau na samādhimān | jāḍye'pi na jaḍo dhanyaḥ pāṇḍit

In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 97 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
