Chapter 2 · Verse 21
अहो जनसमूहेऽपि न द्वैतं पश्यतो मम
aho janasamūhe'pi na dvaitaṃ paśyato mama | araṇyamiva saṃvṛttaṃ kva ratiṃ karav
In chapter 2 (Aṣṭāvakra’s instructions on the Self), verse 21 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
