King Yudhiṣṭhira, son of Kuntī, blew the Anantavijaya; Nakula and Sahadeva, the Sughoṣa and the Maṇipuṣpaka

Yudhiṣṭhira, the eldest of the Pāṇḍavas, sounds the Anantavijaya (Infinite-victory), a prophecy that will only be fulfilled after the war. His title rājā reaffirms his legitimacy, contrasting with the rājā of verse 2 who was Duryodhana, the usurper.

The twins Nakula and Sahadeva share a single line, reflecting their inseparable unity. Their conchshells Sughoṣa (Good-sound) and Maṇipuṣpaka (Jewel-flower) have poetic names, less warlike than those of their elder brothers, representing their gentler nature.
