ज्ञानयज्ञेन चाप्यन्ये यजन्तो मामुपासते | एकत्वेन पृथक्त्वेन बहुधा विश्वतोमुखम्
jñāna-yajñena cāpy anye yajanto mām upāsate | ekatvena pṛthaktvena bahudhā viśvato-mukham
Others, worshipping Me through the sacrifice of knowledge, worship Me as One, as the Distinct, or as the Multiform with faces in all directions.
Three types of worshippers are distinguished here according to their philosophical vision. Ekatvena — as One — the advaitins who see the Lord as impersonal Brahman. Pṛthaktvena — as Distinct — those who emphasize the duality between soul and Supreme.
Bahudhā viśvato-mukham — multiform with faces in all directions — describes the vision of the Lord as the cosmic virāṭ, the universal form. This is the Lord of multiple forms worshipped in the Purāṇas.
Jñāna-yajña — sacrifice of knowledge — implies offering understanding itself as oblation.
