Śivasaṃhitā 4.59

Śiva here declares the fundamental ontological equation of non-dual tantrism: ahaṃ binduḥ, ‘I am the bindu’. This is not technical instruction but self-revelation: the Lord identifies with the seminal principle, the drop of condensed consciousness underlying all manifestation. Śakti is the rajas, the active and expansive fluid. Their union in the yogi’s body is not a technical act but the realization of the cosmogonic mystery in miniature.

Prāṇasadṛśī — ‘equal to prāṇa, resembling prāṇa’ — uses sadṛśī (similar, equal, of the same rank) to establish that this mudrā has the same existential value as life itself. It is not comparable to any other teaching or technique because it operates at the level where energy and consciousness are still undifferentiated. Yasminkasminna dīyate — ‘it should not be given to just anyone’ — is the negation of indiscriminate transmission.

The promised state — siddhibhāva, ‘the state of success’ — and the divyatā (divinity) of the resulting body express the goal of tantric hatha yoga: not mystical disembodiment but the divinization of the physical body, its transmutation into divyadeha, the indestructible divine body that the Nātha siddhas considered the external sign of complete realization. The radiant body (dīptadeha) that shines is the visible manifestation of accumulated amṛta.
