Śivasaṃhitā 5.202

The multiplicity of meditation’s fruits (vicitra-phala) is so diverse that only direct experience can reveal them. No catalog suffices: each practitioner discovers their own constellation of effects, specific to their nature, karmic accumulations, and practice level. The only access door is practice itself, not description of its results.

Vijānāti is completely established knowledge (vi = completely, jānāti = knows), vicitra varied, multiple and surprising, phala-sambhava the arising of fruits. Siddhas are those perfected through spiritual practice, vidyādharas knowledge-bearers in aerial space, gandharvas heavenly musicians and apsarases the sky dancers.

Mastery over the four types of celestial beings at fifteen lacs of repetitions completes the hierarchy of intermediate plane beings. Siddhas represent spiritual mastery, vidyādharas mantric knowledge, gandharvas the arts and subtle sound, apsarases cosmic beauty and grace. The yogi who masters them has integrated these qualities within themselves.
