Kevala
samadhiThe absolute, the sole without a second. As kevala kumbhaka it designates the spontaneous retention of breath in which both inhalation and exhalation cease, a sign that prāṇa has stabilized completely. In the Yoga Sūtras, kevala is linked to kaivalya — the absolute isolation of puruṣa from prakṛti — the final state where consciousness rests in itself without object or agent.
