मरुत्

Marut

concepto

Wind, vital breath. In the Vedas, the Maruts are storm deities, the retinue of Rudra. In the yogic tradition, marut functions as a synonym of prana and [[prana-vayu]] — the air that moves the inner life. The Śiva Saṃhitā equates marut with the cosmic breath that courses through the [[nadi|nāḍīs]].
