Vibhūti

Manifestation of power, excellence. In chapter 3 of the Yoga Sūtras, the vibhūtis are the powers that arise from samyama — the integration of dhāraṇā, dhyāna, and samadhi. The term also designates the sacred ash of Śiva, symbol of the combustion of ignorance and of final transformation. Both senses converge: what remains when the ephemeral is consumed is pure power.
