The four revealed scriptures of Hinduism: Ṛgveda, Yajurveda, Sāmaveda, and Atharvaveda. Each Veda is structured into Saṃhitā, Brāhmaṇa, Āraṇyaka, and Upaniṣad. This final section constitutes the vedānta, the “end of the Veda,” where the identity of ātman and brahman is formulated. The Bhagavadgītā synthesizes Vedic teaching in accessible dialogue.
