From him the Ṛg, Sāma, Yajur, initiation, sacrifice, ritual, animals, all beings, inhalation and exhalation, rice and barley, austerity, truth, vow, regulation, Vedas, sacrifice —from him, from him.

Eighth repetition, extending the liturgy beyond the conventional. In our yoga practice, this teaches us that there is no limit to contemplation. Each repetition is an opportunity to go deeper, to dissolve more layers of separation. The sarvabhūtāni (all beings) included in the list are the final reminder: there are no exceptions, no exclusions. Everything, absolutely everything, is tasmāt —from Him, from Him.
