The Blessed Lord said: Many births have passed for me and for you, oh Arjuna. I know them all, but you do not know them, oh Arjuna.

Revelation of divine memory. Vyatītāni — passed, elapsed — indicates reincarnatory cycles.

Both have had bahūni janmāni — many births — but the difference is crucial: Kṛṣṇa veda — knows, remembers — all; Arjuna na vettha — does not know — due to the veil of māyā. The human being forgets; the incarnated Lord maintains cosmic memory. This is the definition of divinity: transcendent knowledge.
