Ātma-Saṃyama Yoga · Verse 45

प्रयत्नाद्यतमानस्तु योगी संशुद्धकिल्बिषः | अनेकजन्मसंसिद्धस्ततो याति परां गतिम्

prayatnād yatamānas tu yogī saṃśuddha-kilbiṣaḥ | aneka-janma-saṃsiddhas tato yāti parāṃ gatim

But the yogi who strives with effort, with purified mind, free from stains, perfected through many births — then attains the highest destination.

Contrast with 6.44: here the effort is conscious (yatamānaḥ — striving), not dragged by passive habit. Requires prayatna (applied effort).

Saṃśuddha-kilbiṣaḥ — stains purified. Aneka-janma-saṃsiddhaḥ — perfected through multiple lives. The result: parāṃ gatim — the supreme destination (liberation, union with the Divine).
