nirāśīr yata-cittātmā tyakta-sarva-parigrahaḥ | śārīraṃ kevalaṃ karma kurvan nāpnoti kilbiṣam
Without desires, with mind and Self controlled, abandoned all attachment, performing only bodily action, he does not incur sin.
Minimal action without karmic load. Nirāśīḥ — without desires, without hopes — indicates absence of expectation.
Yata-cittātmā — with mind (citta) and ātman controlled — is internal discipline. Tyakta-sarva-parigrahaḥ — abandoned all attachment — indicates possessive freedom. Śārīraṃ kevalam — only bodily — minimal activity to maintain life. This essential action produces no kilbiṣam — sin, karmic impurity.
