यदृच्छालाभसंतुष्टो द्वन्द्वातीतो विमत्सरः | समः सिद्धावसिद्धौ च कृत्वापि न निबध्यते
yadṛcchā-lābha-santuṣṭo dvandvātīto vimatsaraḥ | samaḥ siddhāv asiddhau ca kṛtvāpi na nibadhyate
Content with gain that comes without effort, transcended the pairs of opposites, without envy, equanimous in success and failure, even acting he is not bound.
Profile of the liberated actor. Yadṛcchā-lābha-santuṣṭaḥ — content with unexpected gain — does not seek, receives what comes.
Dvandvātītaḥ — transcended the pairs (pleasure/pain, heat/cold, honor/dishonor) — indicates emotional liberation. Vimatsaraḥ — without envy — celebrates others’ success. Samaḥ — equanimous — in siddhau asiddhau — success and failure. Result: na nibadhyate — is not bound.
