Bhakti Yoga · Verse 10
अभ्यासेऽप्यसमर्थोऽसि मत्कर्मपरमो भव | मदर्थमपि कर्माणि कुर्वन्सिद्धिमवाप्स्यसि
abhyāse 'py asamartho 'si mat-karma-paramo bhava | mad-artham api karmāṇi kurvan siddhim avāpsyasi
If you are incapable even of practice, then dedicate yourself to acting for Me. Performing actions for My sake, you will attain perfection.
Another alternative for those who cannot meditate: Karma Yoga. Instead of sitting in contemplation, the devotee acts — but offering everything to the Divine (mad-artham).
The expression mat-karma-paramo bhava — “be of those for whom actions for Me are supreme” — reorients motivation. It is not action that changes, but the intention (saṅkalpa) that drives it.
Siddhim avāpsyasi promises spiritual success even by this apparently inferior path. The goal is the same; the means adapt. This is yukti — appropriateness of method to practitioner.
