Chapter 18 · Verse 100
न धावति जनाकीर्णं नारण्यमुपशान्तधीः
na dhāvati janākīrṇaṃ nāraṇyamupaśāntadhīḥ | yathātathā yatratatra sama evāvatiṣ
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 100 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
