Chapter 18 · Verse 38
निराधारा ग्रहव्यग्रा मूढाः संसारपोषकाः
nirādhārā grahavyagrā mūḍhāḥ saṃsārapoṣakāḥ | etasyānarthamūlasya mūlacchedaḥ kṛ
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 38 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
