Chapter 18 · Verse 83
धीरो न द्वेष्टि संसारमात्मानं न दिदृक्षति
dhīro na dveṣṭi saṃsāramātmānaṃ na didṛkṣati | harṣāmarṣavinirmukto na mṛto na c
In chapter 18 (Janaka’s liberation), verse 83 deepens the teaching of non-duality. In Advaita Vedānta philosophy, this verse of the Aṣṭāvakra Gītā reveals that freedom is inherent to the Self and requires no acquisition.
