Chapter 7 · Verse 1

जनक उवाच

janaka uvāca

Janaka opens chapter 7 with a vivid image: in him the ocean of the world and the current of the universe flow from his own nature. If everything arises within the Self, where could renunciation, acceptance, or rejection possibly apply? The verse dissolves the posture of the seeker who still stands apart from experience. There is no “outside” from which to grasp or release anything.
