Jñāna Yoga · Verse 27

सर्वाणीन्द्रियकर्माणि प्राणकर्माणि चापरे | आत्मसंयमयोगाग्नौ जुह्वति ज्ञानदीपिते

sarvāṇīndriya-karmāṇi prāṇa-karmāṇi cāpare | ātma-saṃyama-yogāgnau juhvati jñāna-dīpite

Others offer all the activities of the senses and the activities of the breath in the fire of the yoga of self-control, illuminated by knowledge.

Deeper yoga. Indriya-karmāṇi — activities of the senses — and prāṇa-karmāṇi — vital functions — are offered.

Ātma-saṃyama-yoga — yoga of self-control — is the fire. Jñāna-dīpite — illuminated, kindled by knowledge — indicates that this sacrifice requires discernment, not brute force. It is prāṇāyāma and control of prāṇa transformed into spiritual offering.
