Tṛtīyopadeśaḥ (Mudrā) · Verse 27
मतमत्रैव केषांचित्कण्ठ-बन्धं विवर्जयेत् | राज-दन्त-स्थ-जिह्वायां बन्धः शस्तो भवेदिति
matam atraiva keṣāṃcit kaṇṭha-bandhaṃ vivarjayet | rāja-danta-stha-jihvāyāṃ bandhaḥ śasto bhaved iti
Some believe that the throat lock should be omitted, and that the proper lock is with the tongue pressed against the upper front teeth.

Kaṇṭha-bandhaṃ vivarjayet — omitting the throat lock.Some lineages do not apply Jālandhara during Mahābandha, perhaps to allow for more natural breathing or because they consider the other keys sufficient.
