मोह-मात्रेण जन्तूनां संसारः परिवर्तते, तस्माद् विभज्य विज्ञानान् मोहं त्यक्त्वा सुखी भवेत्

moha-mātreṇa jantūnāṃ saṃsāraḥ parivartate, tasmād vibhajya vijñānān mohaṃ tyaktvā sukhī bhavet

Only through confusion does the cycle of existences turn for beings; therefore, discriminating with discernment, abandoning confusion, one becomes blissful.

The jantu—a fettered being, a creature—revolves within saṃsāra propelled by a singular factor: moha-mātra. The wheel is not driven by karma or destiny, but by sheer delusion. The resolution lies in vibhajya—discriminating, clearly demarcating—through vijñāna. The tyāga of moha constitutes not renunciation but an abandonment born of clarity: once recognized as moha, one can no longer cling to it. The resultant sukhī—the blissful one—did not pursue bliss; rather, they pursued clarity, with bliss emerging as its natural corollary. Vibhāga—discrimination—is a cognitive operation that becomes automatized: initially demanding effort, it ultimately crystallizes into a mode of being. It is akin to mastering the
