Navama-prakaraṇam (Samādhi) · Verse 6
ब्रह्मनाडीषु या शक्तिः कुण्डलिनीति संज्ञिता । सा यदा उदिता साक्षात् तदा योगी विमुच्यते ॥
brahmanāḍīṣu yā śaktiḥ kuṇḍalinīti saṃjñitā | sā yadā uditā sākṣāt tadā yogī vimucyate ||
This verse presents a striking image of liberation rooted within the subtle physiology of the nāḍī system. The brahma-nadi, specifically, is identified as kuṇḍalinī, the dormant, coiled power residing within these channels, and intrinsically linked to Brahman. The direct awakening of this force—a process of energetic ascent—immediately confers moksha, or liberation, upon the yogī. This signifies that liberation isn’t merely a conceptual understanding, but a profound, transformative experience occurring at the level of the subtle body, a release achieved through the conscious activation of this fundamental energy. It aligns with the Upaniṣadic notion that reality itself is a dynamic, sentient force, and that the ātman can realize its inherent connection to the ultimate through this specific energetic awakening, a key concept also found in early haṭha yoga traditions focused on kuṇḍalinī awakening.
