Bhadrāsana

Auspicious posture, “the seat of blessing.” Described in Gheraṇḍa Saṃhitā 2.18-19: seated with the feet passed between the thighs and hands resting on the knees, spine erect. Considered one of the classical āsanas for prāṇāyāma and dhyāna due to its stability and pelvic opening. See padmasana, siddhasana.
