Dvitīyopadeśaḥ (Āsana) · Verse 11

भद्रासनं प्रवक्ष्यामि पवित्रं पापनाशनम् | यत्कृत्वा न पुनर्जन्म कायेन लभते नरः ||

bhadrāsanaṃ pravakṣyāmi pavitraṃ pāpanāśanam | yatkṛtvā na punarjanma kāyena labhate naraḥ ||

Bhadrāsana — the auspicious, favorable posture. Its name derives from bhadra, meaning good, favorable, blessed. It is not a neutral posture; it is actively propitious.

The promise of “no more birth” (na punar-janma) connects this posture with liberation (mokṣa). The body that practices Bhadrāsana becomes a completed, accomplished vehicle. There is no need to return to the wheel of becoming.

For the practitioner, this means the posture works at the level of the deepest karma. We are not merely stretching muscles; we are reconfiguring our destiny.
