रोगत

Rogata

concepto

Ailment, disease, affliction. From roga — disease, derived from the root ruj — to break, to afflict, to cause pain.

In the yogic context, rogata extends beyond physical pathology to encompass the deep existential maladies of conditioned existence. The Bhagavad-gītā identifies attachment, aversion, and delusion as the root diseases of the mind.

The treatment of rogata in classical texts is not merely symptomatic but constitutional — addressing the fundamental imbalance of the guṇas that gives rise to all disorders of body, mind, and spirit.
