Tṛtīyopadeśaḥ (Mudrā) · Verse 30
खेचरीमुद्रया योगी दिव्यदेहं तु साधयेत् | न तस्य मरणं किञ्चिन्न च जरा न रोगता ||
khecarīmudrayā yogī divyadehaṃ tu sādhayet | na tasya maraṇaṃ kiñcin na ca jarā na rogatā ||
The culmination of Khecarī: attainment of divya-deha, the divine or subtle immortal body. This is the highest promise of the practice.
The “divine body” is the body of light, the purified subtle vehicle that is not subject to the ordinary laws of physical decay.
“No death, no old age, no disease” describes the state of jīvan-mukta — liberated in life. The physical body eventually perishes, but the practitioner no longer identifies with it, and their essence continues in the illuminated subtle body.
