The benefits of drinking amṛta: longevity, rejuvenation, and perfect health. Grey hair (palita) and old age (jīrṇita) are prevented or reversed.

This is not physical immortality in the literal sense of living forever. It is maintaining the body in optimal state during its natural life, and possibly extending that life significantly.

Diseases are destroyed because the nectar strengthens the immune system at profound levels. It is the elixir of life, promised by alchemists of all traditions.
