Sāttvika

concepto

Of sāttvic nature, permeated with sattva. In the Bhagavad-gītā, Kṛṣṇa classifies śraddhā (faith), āhāra (food), and yajña (sacrifice) into three types according to the predominant guṇa: what is sāttvika is luminous, serene, and conducive to knowledge. The yoga practitioner cultivates the sāttvika to purify the mind and approach the clarity of puruṣa. See [[rajasika]], [[tamásika]].
