Svapna

Dreaming state. Second of the three states of consciousness (avasthā-traya).

In Māṇḍūkya Upaniṣad, svapna corresponds to taijasa — consciousness turned inward, experiencing the subtle world created by the mind. The subtle body (sūkṣma śarīra) is its vehicle.
