In front of Bhīṣma, Droṇa, and all the kings of the earth, he said: Behold, Pārtha, the Kurus gathered

Kṛṣṇa positions the chariot directly in front of the pramukhāḥ (leaders, those who are at the front): Bhīṣma and Droṇa, the revered teachers. The position is intentional — not in front of Duryodhana, but in front of those whom Arjuna honors and for whom he feels love.

Pārtha (son of Pṛthā, another name for Kuntī) is the name Kṛṣṇa uses. He is not the warrior nor the archer, but the son, the relative, the one bound by blood. The choice of term is surgical: Kṛṣṇa knows which emotional button to press.

The phrase “kurūn samavetān” (Kurus gathered) includes both sides — all are descendants of Kuru. The tragedy is intra-familial.
